Required Skills

• At least 8 plus years of telecom industry experience in writing software test plans and their execution on platforms running Solaris and Linux operating systems, hands-on experience with functional testing, performance, stress, and scalability testing.
• Familiarity with Transaction Gateway protocols (Visa, ISO, TPDU) , IP protocols (DNS, IP Sec, SSL,LDAP,HTTP,OCSP,AAA,Radius etc.) & knowledge of IPv6 and IP routing.
• Experience in test automation and familiarity with automated test tools such as SPIRENT, IXIA etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with scripting languages (Expect, Perl, TCL, bash, etc.) on Solaris and Linux based platforms.
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent

Desirable

• Familiarity with wire-line and wireless technologies (e.g. TDMA, CDMA, GSM, iDEN, UMTS, 3GPP, 3GPP2, SMS etc) and IMS concepts is a plus.
• Knowledge of signaling in traditional and next generation networks like SS7, TCAP, SCCP, IS-41 MAP, GSM MAP, SIP, DIAMETER, and RADIUS is a plus.
• Familiarity with signaling test tools (INET, MGTS, Tekelec, Tektronix) is a plus.
• Familiarity with technologies and disciplines associated with real-time systems: Distributed Computing, high availability, performance tuning, load balancing, monitoring with automated recovery etc.

Responsibilities

• Development and timely execution of test plans (integration, system, regression, etc.,) for all software releases.
• Creation and follow up of trouble tickets during verification process.
• Set up and maintenance of testing environment.
• Creation of test scripts to perform verification tests.
